What size storage unit will I need?

Visit the "Rent Storage" tab for a description and illustration of each unit size.  Visit the "Storage Tips" page for helpful tips on maximizing the space inside the storage unit.

 

What fees do I need to pay in addition to rent at move-in?

In addition to the rental charge at move-in, all units require a SECURITY DEPOSIT. The SECURITY DEPOSIT paid at move-in shall be refunded upon fulfilling ALL the conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement. Feel free to ask the office for a copy of the security deposit refund move-out requirements.

 

What is the process for renting a storage unit?

We require a government-issued photo ID (example: driver’s license, state ID, or passport) and payment. Renting a unit is available on our website or in the office. On our website click the “Rent Storage” tab to view sizes and availability. You will be able to rent or reserve a unit. Once the rental process is complete online, please contact the office to make arrangements to pick up your key.

How do I make a payment?

You may pay online using our payment portal, over the phone, or stopping by the office. For your convenience login to your account on our website and click the “Recurring Billing” to add your payment information. 

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Money Order, Checks (if unit is current), Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and ACH.

 

What is the length of the rental agreement?

Occupancy begins on the day of rental. After the end of the initial period, the term of the Agreement renews monthly, beginning on the first day of each month.

 

When is rent due and is there a late fee?

Rent is due on the 1st day of the month. To avoid late fees, payment must be paid before the end of the 5th day of each month.

 

Do I need to bring a lock?

We provide one disc lock and key to every unit. 


Can I Bring My Own Lock?

You may choose to use your own lock, however, if you do so we ask that you return our lock and key to the office.


How do I get in and out of the facility?

You will be issued a gate code for the purpose of ENTERING and EXITING the facility.  If you forget your gate code you may login to your account online to retrieve it. The gate is in operation from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday of the year including holidays.

 

Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?

Storage of hazardous or toxic materials is prohibited. OCCUPANT is strictly prohibited from storing and/or using materials classified as hazardous or toxic under any local, state, or federal law or regulation, anywhere on ARMORED STORAGE property. Storage of flammable, combustible, or noxious substances (except as permitted by law) is prohibited and is grounds for eviction.

 

What do I do when I no longer need the storage unit?

You may log into your account and Request to move-out OR stop by the office and fill out a Vacate Form. Make sure to give us notice before the 20th of the month to ensure a full refund of your security deposit.

 

Is storage insurance required?

NO, unless the value of your stored items in the unit are $2,000 or more. If the value of your stored items are $2,000 or more you are required to provide proof of insurance. 

 

What security features do you offer?

Our facility is equipped with video surveillance, computer-controlled gate entry, and perimeter fencing. We work hard to ensure that our facility is safe and secure so that you always feel comfortable storing your valuables with us.

 

What happens if I leave my stored items in the unit and do not make my payment?

We follow the New Mexico Self-Service Storage Lien Act [48-11-1 to 48-11-9 NMSA 1978].  All articles stored under a rental agreement, which have incurred unpaid charges for thirty (30) days, will be sold or otherwise disposed of to pay charges at the END of NINETY (90) days.
